Here's something I did an hour ago while tinkering with SAI. I love this little program, it does everything I wanted to do with PSCS and faster.
Merry Christmas to one and all!

Space Cowboy!
Wow, have no idea it's been almost a year since I updated anything here. That also means it's also been that long that I didn't post anything new on Sean Phillips' blog , since that was the primary objective of signing up here haha! (What's so funny?)
Anyway, enough of that.
Here's a draft of something I'm doing for Spike. I've already done Ed and Faye *hearts*...
...and here're the finished ones, in the isolated case anybody wonders (aww, so depressing).
See you later, Space Cowboys!

Snake-Eating Delta Force
Wow, almost forgot to post anything for February.
Anyway, here's a doodle I did of Snake from MGS3, which I used to try that lightning fx trick. Funny thing was, as I was putting on the (halfass) colors he starts to look more and more like Chuck Norris in Delta Force. Delta Force, what? Oh, come on. Google that.

Another Girl
No, not the Beatles song.
After scanning/editing two pages for Arkham Woods, I was getting ready to sleep but thought of doodling first.
Have to be somewhere 6hrs from now, long commute yet again.
It says "whatever" since I'm too sleepy and I just want a word to her side.
The brush made her bikini bottom look knitted, don't it?

Some Vespa or is it...?
Yo!
So I was bored and needed a break. I grabbed my pencil, made a few scribbles, took the penbrush from the holder and here I am minutes after.
I personally like the rough pencil version, which is now buried underneath all that ink. Should I have save the pencil then and inked on a different paper? Nah.
Maybe it's just me being more used to pencil and thin lines OR maybe because I totally messed up the inks. Anyway, I think this version has more volume to it and wtf, I'm just getting used to this technique and heck, I don't even know what I'm getting at here haha... IT'S JUST A DOODLE!
That said, I really love the expression on her face and my, my what pouting lips you have, Grandma...

Fan Girl!
I just finished another page for the book I'm working on for Seven Seas Entertainment. I wanted a coffee break from professional drawing so here's something I'm doing for a beginning Publisher for fun(?).
I'm still trying to bring out the Ashley Wood in me with this one, since I'm still so enthralled with how pretty, dynamic and brutal his work is. I know it ain't always smart to just be emulating someone else's style but until I figure out something that would keep me from getting burned out and bored with a single style or until I ended up with a style I can call my own (which ever comes first) then emulating's how it's gonna be.
Anyway, long story short, here's the post for today.

It's the weekends finally! So, here's a sketch of a busty chick and her giant mecha, ASHIGARU to celebrate it!
Btw, here's the finished version for the curious, ciao!

Close your eyes, Daigoro...
I saw Kozure Okami (Lone Wolf and Cub) and was floored by the action sequences and GORE! It felt like watching Mugen no Jyunin as well haha.
Anyway, I did this sketch of Itto and Daigoro in just a couple of minutes so don't go ballistic if you see anything off haha. I also made Ogami Itto on the skinny side since Tomisaburo Wakayama's chubby physique just doesn't make sense to me.

A Scruffy Ronin Blog, now what?
Hi!
I figure I should make a blog so I'll have a place to post personal sketches and other things that I felt should get some air, because I dont want to crowd my Deviantart gallery with raw and unfinished pieces since I use said gallery as portfolio and don't want clients to get the impression "Look at all the doodlings, Jhomar Soriano must be just some kid trying to land a job!", ha!
Anyway, soon as I figure out how to add images here, the sooner we'll start seeing stuffs.
Cheers!
