Anyway, I did this sketch of Itto and Daigoro in just a couple of minutes so don't go ballistic if you see anything off haha. I also made Ogami Itto on the skinny side since Tomisaburo Wakayama's chubby physique just doesn't make sense to me.
Long story short, here's the sketch...

The thing with the Itto
actors strong physic is
probably connected to
the blade he carries - the
Dotanuki. In the movies,
as well as in the books,
he once sais something like:
"You want to stop me? You
with your skinny arms?!" to
a trembling unit of Yagyu
soldiers. Just short before
he takes down parts of the
house, the gate, the poor
soldiers and their swords.
All with his one Dotanuki
and enough pounds behind it.
I hope I don't come over like
wiseass... I was wonderin'
about' his movie looks too.
